The article’s focus is on how professionals can use this as a tool to project a professional identity while connecting with social media users, mainly for network expansion and communication purposes. People using twitter for professional rather than personal purposes also could monitor both what they want to post publicly and how the public perceives the professional. The article addresses how the line between professional and personal identity becomes unclear due to how closely linked they could be to the individual.
